Lord Torranago wins the novice at Sedgefield After a couple of near misses ( Whoshotthesherrif a terrific 2nd at Carlisle, Tekibleu de l’Orme 2nd at Sedge and that agonising 2nd from ‘Oak Vintage’ at Sedge to name a few ) the French import ‘Lord Torranago’ jumped well and led from pillar to post in the Novice Hurdle – showing plenty of tenacity to keep his head in front for Tommy when the favourite came to him. This was a really likeable hurdling debut and we can look forward to a good winter with him – he broke the track speed record and on genuine good winter ground this was some feat.
