Uttoxeter

14:32 Cut The Mustard
Useful ex-Irish winning chaser who has posted 2 good runner-up efforts in mares' listed chases since switching to Paul Nicholls. Taken to go one better now.

15:42 Light Flicker
Winning pointer. Landed 19f handicap chase at Wetherby in December and good second at Market Rasen (2m5f) last month. Weighted to go close again and step up in trip a plus too. Big player.

Market Rasen

15:15 Gipsy De Choisel
Won 16-runner 4-y-o event at Angers on hurdling debut, travelling strongly and quickening to lead near finish. Similar form when third in introductory event at Ascot and he retains potential.

Navan

14:15 Global Equity
Fairly useful hurdler. 9/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, very good second of 20 in handicap hurdle at Leopardstown (18f, soft) 14 days ago, just failing. Well respected.

14:47 Fury Road
Smart hurdler. Course winner. 1 win from 2 runs this season. 13/8, 9¼ lengths fourth of 7 to Flooring Porter in Christmas Hurdle at Leopardstown (24f, soft) 55 days ago.

16:00 Lucky Tenner
Useful bumper winner before (16/5) promising third of 16 in novice hurdle at Fairyhouse (16f, heavy) on hurdles bow 13 days ago, short of room 2 out. Open to progress, so holds good claims.

Newbury

13:15 Ahorsewithnoname
Bumper winner who landed a brace of 1½m novice events on the Flat for Brian Ellison in 2019. Very promising start over hurdles when second in C&D listed novice in November and open to progress.

13:50 Southfield Harvest
Lightly-raced bumper/maiden hurdle winner who advanced his form when a neck second on handicap debut at Wincanton on Boxing Day (21.4f). Up 5 lb but emphasis on stamina sure to suit.

15:00 Greaneteen
Stylish winner on return in Exeter's Haldon Gold Cup and raised game further when second to Politologue in Tingle Creek at Sandown in December. More needed again but that's not out of the question.

15:35 Mister Coffey
Improved again to win on handicap debut at Sandown (2m, good to soft) in November. Speed possibly blunted by heavy ground when third there in December. Freshened up since. Remains capable of better.
